FINISHERS
| Kodama of the East Tree | - Kodama of the East Tree combos with several cards in this deck. The easiest combo needs Kodama of the East Tree, a landfall trigger that generates a token, and a bounce land or Living Twister. Token generators include Omnath, Locus of Rage, Scute Swarm (bring a calculator), Tireless Provisioner, Rampaging Baloths, Tireless Tracker, Field of the Dead, and Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer. Bounce lands incldue Gruul Turf, Arid Archway and Guildless Commons.
- For the combo involving a bounce land, follow these steps;
- Play a bounce land (Gruul Turf, Arid Archway, or Guildless Commons).
- Token generator, Kodama of the East Tree, and bounce land trigger.
- Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, not putting anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
- Resolve the bounce land trigger, returning it to your hand.
- Resolve the token generator trigger, creating a token.
- Kodama of the East Tree triggers, putting the bounce land onto the battlefield from your hand.
- The token generator and the bounce land trigger.
- Repeat from step 4.
- For the combo involving Living Twister, follow these steps;
- Play a land card from your hand that enters untapped and can produce . Will use a basic Forest for this example.
- Kodama of the East Tree and the token generator's ability trigger.
- Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing to put nothing onto the battlefield from your hand.
- Holding priority, activate the basic Forest by tapping it, adding .
- Resolve the token generator trigger, creating a token.
- When the token enters the battlefield, Kodama of the East Tree triggers.
- Holding priority, activate Living Twister's second ability by paying , returning the Forest from the battlefield to your hand.
- Resolve the Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting the Forest onto the battlefield from your hand.
- When the Forest enters the battlefield, the token generator will trigger.
- Repeat from step 4.
- For the combo involving a bounce land, follow these steps;
Now, how do you actually kill someone with these combos? Well, if you are using a token generator that makes creature tokens, Hammer of Purphoros can grant them haste for lethal swings, or Purphoros, God of the Forge can deal lethal damage to all of your opponents. Spitfire Lagac and Tunneling Geopede will kill your opponents regardless of what token generator you are using because you also generate infinite landfall triggers. Inifinite landfall triggers also give infinite combat steps with Moraug, Fury of Akoum.
- | Craterhoof Behemoth | - The classic. With enough creatures, Craterhoof Behemoth can just knock an entire board of players out of the game. With Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Mina and Denn, Wildborn//Living Twister, you can even return Craterhoof Behemoth to your hand and replay it for more massive swings.
- | Ashaya, Soul of the Wild | - Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Ley Weaver//Argothian Elder can make infinite mana. This infinite mana can pump Radha, Heart of Keld several times to make her massive. With lands like Kessig Wolf Run, Skarrg, the Rage Pits, or Rogue's Passage, you can gaurantee hits get through. Purphoros, God of the Forge can pump your entire board infinitely. With either Mina and Denn, Wildborn or Living Twister and Craterhoof Behemoth, you can repeatedly bounce and replay Craterhoof Behemoth.
